In May 2011, he Huff Road corridor has changed dramatically. Trammel Crow and Perennial Properties have completed 700 multifamily units between Howell Mill Road and Marietta Boulevard, and Winter Properties has completed 152 townhomes on Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard. Amli, Miles Properties, and others, have purchased sites for future multifamily development.
White Provisions has completed its project at Howell Mill Road and 14th Street, which has Yeah Burger!, Abbatoir, Bella Cucina, Knoll, the German American Chamber of Commerce and the 32,000 SF Room and Board as tenants. Over half of the 72 condos have now sold.
More importantly, Anthropologie skipped over the Midtown Mile and Atlantic Station to construct its flagship Atlanta store at the corner of Huff and Howell Mill Roads. This action, along with multiple openings of new retail stores up and down Howell Mill and western Huff Road, have firmly established the Westside as the place to be, shop and dine.
These are exciting times for the Westside.
